Terms & conditions
The rules that apply when you use Warchtak.
Effective date: 31 October 2026
Acceptance and definitions
By using the Warchtak customer app, the Warchtak Partner app for workshops, or the website, you agree to these Terms. “Customer” means the car owner requesting offers, “Workshop” means the service provider sending offers, and “Service” means the platform Warchtak provides.
Warchtak’s role
Warchtak is a platform that connects customers with nearby workshops. A customer describes a problem, workshops send a price and arrival time, and the customer compares and chooses. Warchtak does not carry out the repair itself, and the agreement for the work is between the customer and the workshop. Warchtak does not guarantee the quality or outcome of any work, although we work to keep workshops to our service standards.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Registration details must be accurate and current, and you sign in with a verification code sent to your mobile number.
- You are responsible for keeping your account, verification code and start code confidential, and for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or close an account for breaching these Terms or for abusive use.
Offers and acceptance
- Requesting offers is free.
- No offer is accepted without your choice. The price and arrival time must be visible before you accept.
- The price in an offer is an initial price covering inspection and labour; spare parts are not included. The workshop records the actual cost when the job is done, and it may differ from the initial price. If extra work is needed, the workshop must state the price and get your approval before doing it.
- You can have one active request at a time. A request with no accepted offer expires after 24 hours.
- Before acceptance, do not share phone numbers or addresses in chat. Messages containing this kind of information may be flagged and reviewed by our operations team.
- Before the repair starts you can go back to collecting offers (all offers and the start code are deleted and your request is published again) or archive the request, which you can restore within 5 days. A workshop cannot cancel after acceptance, but can withdraw its offer before acceptance.
Starting and finishing a job
When you accept an offer, a 4-digit repair start code is created. You give it to the mechanic when you hand over the car and are happy with the workshop, the problem and the initial price; sharing it means you agree to start the repair. Share it only when you are ready. Once the repair has started it cannot be cancelled in the app, so contact support. After the repair is finished you see the actual cost and can rate the workshop once; ratings cannot be edited.
Customer and workshop responsibilities
Customers: describe the problem, location and time accurately, take the car to the workshop yourself after accepting an offer, and pay the cost to the workshop.
Workshops: provide accurate details about the workshop, specialties, vehicle types and location, send clear prices and durations and honour them, carry out work professionally and in line with the law and any required licences, and not ask for any amount that was not agreed.
Everyone: do not abuse the service, post abusive, misleading or unlawful content, attempt to hack or disrupt the platform, or use the platform to bypass others unfairly.
Payment and fees
Warchtak does not currently process payments in the app. Payment is made directly at the workshop, between the customer and the workshop. Warchtak does not charge customers for requesting offers. If we add any fees, commissions or in-app payment methods in the future, we will explain them before they apply and you will agree to them before you use them.
Cancellation, ratings and complaints
- You can go back to offers or archive your request through the app before work starts. After it starts, contact support.
- Ratings must be honest and not abusive, and we may remove a rating that breaches this rule.
- If you have a complaint or problem with a request, contact support with the request number and a short description, and we will try to help reach an amicable solution. This does not affect your right to go to the competent authorities.
Warranties and limits of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and without warranties beyond those the law requires. Warchtak is not responsible for the quality of any repair, for damage or loss arising from a workshop’s work or from an agreement between you and a workshop, or for interruptions outside our control, to the extent the law permits. Any warranty on the work comes from the workshop itself under your agreement with it.
Intellectual property
The Warchtak name, logo, apps and website belong to Warchtak and are protected by law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for your personal use or your workshop’s business, without copying, modifying or reverse engineering it. Content you upload (such as photos and descriptions) is licensed to us to the extent needed to operate the Service.
Privacy
How we use your data is explained in the Privacy policy.
Changes and termination
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the effective date and notify you of material changes. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that provide otherwise.
